Work queue
Posted by Xugu Madison in News on 06/05/2009
For anyone who wonders where my time goes, I thought I’d satisfy your curiousity. Here’s my current to-do list, in vague order:
- Twitter HUD (paid project with some specific requirements that TwitterBox doesn’t fulfil)
- Re-texturing/coloring HUD; requested by someone who makes eyes, but will be available as a build-your-own HUD package. In late development, available by request (L$750) for beta, should launch next week at L$1k.
- Re-texturing tool for builders; intended to simplify tasks such as substituting one texture for another on large linksets. Initial version shipped to customer, going to get the HUD from the above project re-written to drive it.
- Finish generating signs for all products on XStreetSL; a few are using the “script window” images I started with.
- Document and release a variety of small helper scripts I have around, for anyone who likes my work. Texture UUID extracter, inventory giver, hovertexts, etc.
- Write a sale tracking and user support system to handle shipping updates to end users, and re-deliveries on request.
Beyond that, I’m busy with the usual set of the day job, PhD thesis, and trying to be in 5 places at once for my social life. I really don’t sleep any more…
Landmark configured prim counter – L$100
Posted by Xugu Madison in Products on 03/05/2009
It’s a prim counter filled weekend for me…
This is a prim counter script for one or more parcels of land. It is intended both as a guide to prim usage for land owners, and as a sim-wide usage scanner. It has three basic usage modes:
- No landmark; gives prim usage statistics for the parcel it’s on, to anyone who touches it.
- One landmark: gives prim usage statistics for the parcel the landmark points to (limited to same sim), to anyone who touches it.
- Multiple landmarks: gives prim usage statistics for a landmark, chosen from dialog menu, to owner or managers (configured by notecard).
As with most of my stuff, it’s full perms, so also useful if you want a starting point for your own prim counter, or just want to see what makes it tick.

Now free – single avatar prim counter
Posted by Xugu Madison in Products on 02/05/2009
Not a new item, but a tidy up, and it’s now free…
This is a script for counting prims in a single parcel. It is NOT suitable for renters sharing parcels, as it does not split usage by avatars. Uses prim count for the parcel as default prim quota for the renter, or you can override by setting g_MaxPrims in the script.
Click to use.
Produces output such as: “Xugu Madison’s parcel contains 142 prims used out of a maximum of 351 prims, 209 prims spare.”
